SERVICES Our web site monitoring service will monitor your web site, informing you immediately if any failures are detected. The following is a list of the service options provided. Your web sites are checked for keywords that you specify during setup. You can choose key phrases and if these phrases cannot be read from your site, you will be notified. This feature can also doubles as a hacker check, ensuring your web site hasn’t changed without your knowledge. You can specify how often your web site is checked. The most frequent check available is every minute, and there is no additional charge for choosing this frequency. You can also specify how long before you are informed of a failure. Many would assume that an immediate notification is best, but in practice, it is often more practical to wait until a failure has occurred multiple times before it is reported. This is to ensure support staff are not disturbed in the case of an internet “glitch” or other anomaly. You can specify who is initially notified of the failure. Multiple recipients can be specified. A secondary notification can be setup to notify backup support staff. You control when this notification is sent and who it is sent too, including multiple recipients. Notifications can be sent to you via e-mail, Small Message Service (SMS) or both. If you have multiple web sites on the one web server, you may not wish to be notified about each web site that has failed, as if one is down, chances are they are all down. Therefore, we give you the option to be notified once if any or all of your web sites go down.
